At Used Engine & Transmission Canada, we ensure the delivery of quality parts and provide warranty coverage for the Engine, Transmission, and Steering Column under the following terms and conditions:

General Warranty Terms

  • The warranty covers "parts only" for defects, damage, or incorrect items as delivered by Used Engine & Transmission Canada.
  • The warranty specifics, including coverage and terms, will be provided by the sales agent and mentioned on the invoice at the time of purchase.
  • If no warranty is explicitly mentioned during the purchase, the part is sold "as is," and Used Engine & Transmission Canada assumes no responsibility for its performance once delivered.
  • NO LABOR CHARGES are covered under this warranty.

If a part is defective, damaged, or incorrect:

  1. We will first attempt to provide a replacement.
  2. If a replacement is unavailable, a refund for the purchase amount will be issued.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are non-reimbursable. When returning a part, provide a detailed explanation, photographs, or a diagnostic report from an authorized mechanic or service provider.

Parts returned that do not match the specifications in the original order or invoice may incur a 25% restocking fee, and shipping costs (both ways) will be deducted from the refund.

Engine Warranty Terms

  • The engine is warranted as a long block only (engine block and cylinder head) and does not cover external components such as alternators, starters, turbos, or sensors.
  • Mandatory Maintenance Requirements:
    • Timing components, water pump, oil cooler, thermostat, and injectors must be replaced.
    • Radiators must be flow-tested and cleaned.
    • Oil pans and seals must be resealed before installation.
    • Heat tabs must remain intact; melted or removed tabs void the warranty.
  • The warranty is void in cases of improper installation, overheating, or unauthorized disassembly.

Transmission Warranty Terms

  • Automatic and manual transmissions are warranted to shift properly if:
    • Filters, gaskets, and seals are replaced prior to installation.
    • The system is flushed, and new fluids are used.
    • Torque converters and axle seals are replaced.
    • For manual transmissions, a new clutch, pressure plate, and slave cylinder must be installed, and the flywheel must be resurfaced.
  • Excluded from the warranty: all sensors, electrical parts, transmission coolers, lines, mounts, tuning, or adjustments.
  • Failure to meet these requirements voids the warranty.

Steering Column Warranty Terms

  • The steering column is warranted to be functional, excluding cosmetic imperfections or wear on non-mechanical components.
  • Electronic components (e.g., steering angle sensors) are not covered.
  • Damage caused by improper installation or modifications voids the warranty.

Return Policy

  • Parts must be returned in their original, unaltered condition with the invoice and within the warranty terms provided at the time of purchase.
  • Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
  • An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) must be obtained before shipping the part back.
  • Items returned after the agreed-upon warranty period will not be refunded.

Additional Notes

  • Used Engine & Transmission Canada is not liable for parts ordered for testing, incorrect orders, or improper installation.
  • Warranty is non-transferable and limited to the original purchaser.
